The applicator itself is made from foam. The handle is the perfect length to reach my back, and if I am feeling really lazy I use this to apply lotion to my whole body! I feel that I get a more even, smoother lotion application and it applies it in a thinner layer.
It also doesn't get my hands all lotioned up. I have a problem with limp hair and I will put lotion on and then without thinking run my fingers through my hair and instant flatness.

Is this product a joke ? 1 application and it's gone . Pad is actually a bad quality sponge . Just like those for dishwashing . It soaks all the lotion and cream . And the sponge rolls off . Terrible . Will never buy again .
